BIO

*2021 – Number 11 Team at Douglas Elliman (Medium Teams)Starr Densford is a real New Yorker. She knows that the coffee shop on her corner does NOT have Splenda, only stevia. She is not just a mouthpiece for homeownership, she owns a condo she actually lives in (with partner plus future dog,) and another one she rents out as an investment, both in Manhattan.Starr’s past clients include people from all walks of life, including theater students purchasing with a Veteran’s stipend, to former cabinet members, to presidents of major corporations, CFOs, crypto pioneers, and award winning persons in entertainment. In 2021, alone, she went on over 250 buyer and seller appointments. She sent 50,000 pieces of mail to sellers seeking off market listings. Her team sold 54 properties and transacted $67,000,000, and one of her clients chose to name their newborn Starr. As the lead partner of the award-winning Rosen Team at Douglas Elliman, Starr manages both listings, purchases and works with landlords. One thing that separates her from other brokers, outside of her work ethic and experience, are her core values. Starr has one goal – to help people with their housing needs. She is not a “luxury specialist,” but she sells luxury real estate, with multiple appearances in the Olshan Report from NoHo to the Upper West Side. Having survived the pandemic as a broker, and emerged with many listings, Starr is not only about business, she believes in community. She is part of many social organizations, including the Manhattan Yacht Club, the Guggenheim Young Collectors Council, as well as the social soap opera that comes from being part of the Real Estate Board of New York. Starr loves to travel and has spent time in Africa, Asia, Europe and throughout the continental United States – she plans to add her final continent conquest in December – a trip to Antarctica. When it comes to after Real Estate business, Starr likes to treat each of her clients to a nice meal in Manhattan or Brooklyn after the closing. She is also an expert as to where to eat throughout the City. When it comes to selecting Starr as a broker, the reasons people work with her is her experience, and that is not just sourcing listings and pricing homes. She is passionate about relationships, people before deals, providing superior service, and ensuring success.“The challenge of selling/buying real estate lies where my skills prove value: negotiating the win for my client, board approval process, and landing the closing. My parents have always been heavily involved in real estate - I learned from a young age the powerful impact owning and investing in property has - if you use the right tools. I firmly believe real estate ownership is crucial, not only for maintaining your current lifestyle, but for ensuring long-term financial gain.”A Colorado native, Starr went on to attend Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. Outside of work, her hobbies include long-distance running, urban balcony gardening, skiing, and book clubbing.
